Overview of the LRT System

Ottawaโ€™s LRT system, known as the O-Train, currently consists of two lines:

  • Weekdays: Approximately 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM
  • Saturdays: Approximately 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM
  • Sundays and Holidays: Approximately 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM
  • Trains run every 5-15 minutes, depending on the time of day and demand.

Ticket Costs and Fare Options

OC Transpo offers several fare options for the LRT, which are valid for both trains and buses. As of 2023, the following are the standard adult fares:

  1. Single Ride:

    • Presto Card: $3.70
    • Cash: $3.75
    • Ticket (purchased at a machine): $3.75
  2. Day Pass:

    • $11.25 (unlimited travel for one day on buses and trains)
  3. Monthly Pass:

    • Adult: $125.50
    • Youth (ages 13-19): $96.75
    • Senior (65+): $47.75
  4. Children under 12: Ride free on all OC Transpo services, including the LRT.


How to Purchase Tickets
